The 9th Inning

Well, I have officially begun the ninth month of pregnancy! It's super fun! haha. Being one of the last ones to get pregnant, I'll leave it up to you to determine the validity of that statement.

I actually think it really is fun though. I LOVE waking up to The Little rolling and squirming. I LOVE watching him. And I LOVE playing with his baby things and showing them to Jake. Remember in elementary school when you made those paper chains to count down to Christmas? I made one last week to count down to Oct. 23rd. It began with 37 links and it's already down to 28! Jake is in charge of ripping a link off each night and he's behind 3 days and it's driving me crazy...cause it should look much shorter than it does!

This pregnancy has been awesome. It has had it's tiny ups and downs each Trimester, but all is well with our little guy!! I am in the midst of my showers thrown by my AMAZING friends and family, and seriously feel too spoiled, thank you to everyone!

ps: I apologize for not having an updated picture of myself!! Our camera is having fun in Italy with my mother-in-law and comes home this Tues so soon there will be a picture!

Updates:
- I get checked for the first time this Wed. Considering the intensity and consistency of my B.H. contractions...maybe there will be at least a little teeny bit of progress!? I get them all day every day, and many times as of late they make it painful to walk and I get crampy like menstrual cramps or like I have to go to the bathroom (um #2 that is).

-The stretch marks have arrived. I knew it. Curses to my mother! lol JK mom. My tummy is literally gigantic and taking over my body. I have little broken capillaries all over my belly. Poor poor skin. The center of my belly, around the navel, is NUMB but still itches and I can feel pangs of stretching sometimes. It burns if I itch it, so I like to put cold things on it...and Aveeno.

- The swelling has arrived. Mainly face, feet, and hands. Not painful though. They just look like marshmallows!

-I'm officially shocked at how much weight I've gained, but not bothered by it. It's all good! Jake and I are both glad I've gained the weight for the health of the baby. I am super excited to run my butt off and do hundreds of crunches everyday like I use to. aaaahh how lovely is exercise!? So dang addicting. PS to give you an idea, I weigh as much as Jake and he's just shy of 6 feet tall. And I still have 4 weeks left! haha!!

-My doctor says the baby hasn't dropped yet, which shocks everyone, including myself. The good thing is, when he finally does drop, he'll probably just fall out lol. Seriously, I'm carrying so low it's crazy. My tummy will soon start hanging to my knees. So be prepared.

-Emotionally, I'm doing well! A few months ago I was freaking out about being a mom and so forth. I was pretty anxious and scared. But we went to the temple and literally it all went away. I felt so much more at peace and confident afterwards. Now, I'm super excited and feel ready. I'm not nervous for labor, but so excited it's kind of like that nervous excited, ya know?

-I'm so grateful for friends! You wonderful girls have been so helpful in advice, tips, help, support...Seriously it pays to be one of the last to start a family. Everyone has been SOOO great! I have absolutely loved watching you all have your babies, and can't wait to join you :-)

So, Jake and I had a "function" to attend the other night....Don't we look great? I really love how that green dress compliments my beautiful figure. And that suit on Jake is just dashing. If you want to know how I keep my skeleton arms so skinny...let me know.
This cartoon is my world right now. Just the picture though. Not what the other women are saying. I don't feel excluded, or sad, or jealous....Just REAALLLLY excited to have a baby to hold with ya'll!!

Haha look at my face. Really Kim? I don't know what I was thinking. This picture was taken like a month ago so it's pretty outdated. My belly has grown quite a bit since then!! But it's the least I could do to put this pic up!!

Oh what a cute diea! This will be a great post to look back on in a year or more. I looked at Alex's baby book and realized how much I had forgotten about him being little! Love it! Can't wait to meet your little guy!

Oh Kim... I love reading all about your pregnancy. It takes me back :) I'm glad you're not nervous for labor and delivery any more! It is the most exciting thing ever! My babies are only 4 months now and every time I hear someone's having a baby story it seriously already makes me want to experience it all over again.

Love your cute little preggy-ness, but I am sooo excited to meet adorable little OP.

The running/crazy working-out afterwards really keeps you going too. I swear that is how I lived through 8 months of night wakings!

You're gonna be one hot momma :) Only a few short (well, short for me, haha) weeks left!
