Quick!

Quick update! No Time To Waste...

Holy moly times are busy, aren't they!? June was full of wonderful things...finishing up teaching and all the fun that comes with that. Jandie's baby shower (so fun). And of course being pregnant. Other things too but heck I can't remember! Speaking of remembering today my mind was very much consumed with finding a job..and that mixed with pregnancy brain resulted in me having to get into the shower 3 different times in a row because I forgot to do things (first time: forgot to wash my hair. Second time: forgot to rinse out the shampoo completely. Third time: successfully completed my shower...you'd think I was 6).

Well yesterday was my official last day of teaching. I still have about one hour of work to do to finish clearing out my classroom. But I have to say, I strongly dislike being unemployed!! And this is the first day! I mean I have plenty to do around the house, but I feel like I should be working AND doing that stuff. It's buggin'. But I made some great progress today in the job hunt. And who will hire a 25 week pregnant girl.. who knows!!? But I can still bust my you know whats in determination to get hired, right?! I've been working since age 14 (shout out to Golden Swirl haha) and really feel weird not having a job....ugh.

Anyway oh yeah Jake is DONE with school. Yes done. He started before his mission and has finally completed his Bachelors Degree amongst full time work and busy church callings!! I am SO proud of him!! GO JAKE!! Who will join me in celebration!? We bought a new TV and I joke about it saying it's either a graduation present to Jake or "our" first present "from the baby" as his soon to be parents! Babies give presents, right?

I procrastinate and haven't taken enough pictures of my growing self..But it's kinda weird to see myself! Anyway my mom came to help me move out of my classroom and snapped this on her iPhone so here ya go... almost 25 weeks prego:

So next week Jake will be at Scout camp for the entire week. Whaaaaat?? I've never been away from him for that long. Sad story, huh? Hopefully I can function alone! Maybe Jandie will have her baby then I'll have someone to take care of! Just jokin' Jand, I know you want that baby to cook as long as he can.

Really the reason for this post was to ask all you mommies out there about book recommendations. I'm good on pregnancy, but it's time to read about babies and delivery...I would love some recommendations!

And oh boy I am getting excited for all the babies that are due in the next 3 weeks...Congrats ladies!! Fun times are ahead!

Kim you look so freakin cute. Im so excited for you! Books- didnt read any on labor and delivery! I just went in with my eyes closed! No the docs told me all about what I needed to do, plus I was so busy I just didnt have time. I mainly just talked to my friends about labor and delivery, nothing like hearing it from someone who has just done it! Angie and Kristen both gave me good advice and told me everything... I mean EVERYTHING that goes down! Thats my advice! talk to the experts! you will do so great!

I don't know what it is about pregnancy and being absent minded but I love that you had to shower 3times. Also, I don't know that any of the books I read helped with the labor and delivery part but I have some books that you can have.(If you haven't read them already.) I have the what to expect when you're expecting and what to expect the first year (I think they are good reference books) and I also have the Jenny McCarthy belly laughs (which is just fun to read.) Anyway, they are yours if you want them.

You look darling girl! Love that tiny little belly.

I took a birthing class one Saturday that kinda helped understand the labor process a bit better, but I pretty much went in not knowing what to expect...and then I had a c-section so my knowledge and lack of experience won't be of any help to you! :) Best of luck!

As far as delivery books...uh, I skipped those ;) I'd recommend reading some baby books personally because once that little guy is here you won't have time to read (plus it is good to know what to expect in advanced). I agree that hearing people's [possibly scary] birth stories are the best way to prepare. I'm sure there are a million online too.
PS: You are an adorable preggo!

Golden swirl, Holla!!! HAHA! I should have brought you with me to LA. We won't be back until Jake is home. I've got some fun reads upstairs not relating to babies... I'm sure you'll entertain yourself!
